A happenin' March!

La Casa de Ross

Moving In...
March meant unpacking more boxes and getting settled in my new abode. Thanks to Ross' basement full of spare furniture, I was set for most stuff! Just had to rearrange as I please!

New and improved
I was originally in the other half of the basement, but moved myself to this side. I've now got carpeting, closet space, a couch, a queen bed, and a private door to the outside! Wohoo!

Windows!
The new room sports windows the full length of the room, complete space for picture frames and a view of the mountains in clear weather!

Pickin' Up Gus!

March 7th
March 7th was a memorable day, and not just because that's the day my radiator busted and my car went into the shop. We trekked to the airport where Jen and Erin show their signs to welcome Gus (given name Gillian, hence the chosen X-Files theme).

Happy Hug
Gus flew in from NY to visit lovely coworker Jen... they were college buddies that hadn't seen each other in over a year!

At the baggage claim
Couldn't resist taking this picture of a little ballerina that came to the airport to welcome her grandma!

Jen and puppy
After the airport, we dropped off the girls and said hello to Jen's puppy Rufus. He's a sweetie!

Speaking of pets... I live with three of them!

Moyra
Ross has three kitties, and the biggest one, Moyra, is his favorite. She's usually lazy, but does get up occasionally to harass the other kitties...

Thalia
Thalia's my favorite kitty... she's beautiful, a complete sweetie, comes when called, stops when I say "no" and is always ready to be pet. :)

Yoda
Yoda is Thalia's baby. He's also extremely curious, very skittish around people, and quite destructive (though I'm sure it's not always intentional). All three kitties love to play... here Yoda jumps high to catch a feather.

Mom and son
For once short moment, the kitties seem quiet and sweet, lovingly grooming each other... Earlier this weekend these same sweet kitties shattered my full length mirror, broke my alarm clock, torn down my wall hangings, and ate my fresh flowers from the market. What to do, what to do...

Spring has sprung!

While I do miss the bluebonnet and Texas wildflowers, Seattle puts up a nobel showing of spring with flowers blooming on all of the bushes and trees!

Daffodils at the zoo
It's hard not to love a city that's so beautiful all around you!
