August was a great month!

First priority: Getting up old pictures! It's now 5/02, and I just found a slew of pictures from 8/01! So, skipping the usual witty commentary (ha!), here are some pictures to enjoy! Take care!

Amy
Amy and I shared an office when I used to work in the Teen Services offices. This was the first tikme we hung out after we quit working together... was fun!
Beal eats, unaware of Dieter's bunny fingers
Beal and I heading out for a night on the town

Chad & D'Marcos
My neighbor Chad and the lovely D'Marcos. :) Don't know when we took this, but I liked D'Marcos' attempt at being a "bad boy!"

My Favorite Wall
This gum wall is my favorite wall in the whole city! It's fabulous, as are me, Jake, and Beal while posting with the wall!

At Jacob's House
Such good memories... what a great summer!

Beal & Jake
Love that smile!

Bart & Jacob
Silly boys...

Hemp Fest 2001
Hemp Fest was right along the water... what a great location!

The hemp crowd
So many stoners, hippies, bands, and people (like Woody Harrelson) all came to pay honors to the weed they love.

Man and his dog
This stoner was completely passed out at Hemp Fest, and curled up all cute with his dog. How could I not take their pictures?

Me & Rod
Smile... You're at Hemp Fest!

Sex Worker at Work
Don't know when I took this picture, but it was down on 2nd Ave near Pike. I'm just going alphabetically, and Ho comes after Hemp. This sex worker just picked up a John, and a businessman with a pager none the less. How very open and dirty!

Jake's Belly
I'm not clear on what prompted the display of Jake's belly, but I remember thinking that as long as it was there, I probably needed a photo of it for y'all. Enjoy!

My roomie
I loved living indepentently in Houston when I was surrounded by friends, but it sure was fun to have Beal as a roomie for the summer. :)

With Jake!
I believe this one was taken at Bart's house for Elisa's birthday. Don't know why they weren't in the photo too, but it's still a lovely photo without them. :) You can even see Jake's tongue piercing.

I'm wearing pink
And it's a backless halter none the less! Dressing up is fun, but I can't say I find the occasion very often. :)

Enter Rachel
Not only the name of the pig, but the name of Rachel, Jake's lil sis, in the photo with Beal. She's fun! :)

Weezer Cover Night
The only time I saw a show at the Sit and Spin was a Weezer cover night featuring about 10 local bands. My friend Matt played in Peter Parker, and a bunch of other great bands played too. I really liked Wonderful, and plan to check them out sometime soon. I still want to see Death Cab for Cutie and the Murder City Devils, but that's another caption all together. In fact, I think this belongs in July. I have long hair still. Curious....

Weezer Cover Night Part II: The Sweedish Boys
The Weezer music rocked, and we were surprised to find these two Sweedish boys at the band. We made friends with them the night before at Linda's (bar), and when they wanted to see more of us, we invited them to Sit and Spin for the show and laundry facilities. To our surprise, they showed up for laundry and to see us. The beligerant one on the left was pretty entertaining, and he openly propositioned me multiple times... begged actually. Too funny. The one on the right was much more mellow, friendly, and aware enough to be embarrassed of his friend. They were both entertaining for the weekend. :)

The End. What a fun month, eh?
