Roadtrip
Dieter rented a car and we began our trip with a lovely drive to the coast. We passed cool towns like Tokeland and streets like Bong Rd. Too funny...

Breakfast
We spent the first night on the Washington coast and here Dieter starts the camp stove so we can cook breakfast.

Quite gray...
This coast wasn't mislabeled when someone named it Grays Harbor. It was pretty... though I totally forgot to bring my kite! Was nice and windy (notice the wind in my hair and our eyes).

Seem familiar?
The drive down to the Oregon coast was just as gorgeous, and we stopped for a little while at Cannon Beach. If it seems familiar, it's because Goonies was filmed here back in the 80s. Cool!

"Kids for Sale"
Yep... that's right. The sign does say "Kids for Sale." I thought it pretty bizarre too, so we stopped for a photo.

Oh, those kids...
Upon closer inspection, we saw the playground looking area actually housed baby goats. Whew! We knew small towns were sometimes kinda crazy, but selling children just seemed like too much!

Tillamook!
We stopped in Tillamook at the Tillamook Cheese Factory! We took the tour of the factory and bought awesome ice cream inside at a fraction of retail cost!

Cheese!
As if the tour wasn't enough, I got to stock up and buy two fabulous bags of CHEESE CURDS! Yum!!

Cape Lookout
Our camping destination tonight was Cape Lookout, another gorgeous coastal camp ground.

Portland
The weekend was fabulous and seemed to keep going forever! After leaving Tillamook Sunday, we headed to I5 and spent the afternoon in Portland. We walked along the waterfront, visited their outdoor market, and spent some quality time at the Library. This warning sign for bikers was pretty cool too!

Wheee!
What a fun public park! In addition to the normal slides and swings, it also had fun house mirrors! Now's that quality entertainment, and a great end to a great weekend!
