Dieter and I just got back from a lovely camping trip out at the Mt. Baker - Snoqualmie National Forest area.

We went on the Nobel Knob trail and hiked about 3 miles until we decided to pitch our tent.

Huckleberries!
I do love all of the berries that grow wild in the Northwest. Right now the huckleberries are in season... yum! They're not only tasty, but colorful too! Check out all of the bright red and yellow bushes.

Side note that Dieter pointed out: last year on this same weekend in September, we also went camping. We'll call this the second annual fall camping trip!

Great blue tent
After we cooked dinner and watched the gorgeous sunset, we jumped straight into the tent where we stayed for the next 17 hours to keep warm! At 6,000 ft elevation, it was freezing cold! It rained for a while last night and this morning our tent had icicles on it when we got up.

What a great trail!
It was just an overnight trip, but it was very beautiful! Many thanks to Dieter for taking me there! (It's one of his favorite places to ride bikes). :)
