Post Halloween Parties!

The week surrounding Halloween had me spending a not so fabulous seven days in outside Tulsa, Oklahoma. The weekend we returned seemed the perfect time to hit some parties. :)

Debs throws a house warming party
Alan, Debs, and I pose politely on the couch for a photo! Debs and I met Alan in Tulsa and he drove up from Vancouver to Seattle for the weekend to join us for parties! Yeah!

The cute couple!
I had a great time at Debs' party getting to meet new people. Julie and Josh (correct names?) were a super cute couple with the same December 11th birthday of the same year. Too sweet. These two had a cute roomie Dave, who likes his tech job, bikes, and cooks dinner. Yeah Dave!

Points for originality!
Later in the evening, Alan and I left for April's party... a ghastly decorated, well stocked party with food, drink, and Halloween costumes! Aimee came too, and she made her own skunk costume. Quite original, clever, and cute!

Brett and Alan
Brett was pretty touchy-feely all night with Alan, and Alan seemed pretty scared of it all. Was pretty entertaining to watch, despite the pain on his face. (Glad you survived, Alan!) Incidentally, in case you were curious about his costumes, he was a self described "confused Polynesian." Oh, of course. :)

Flaunting the Fanny!
April was our bloody hostess for the evening and she's generally disgusted by cutesy couples stuff. Here she looks on in vague disgust as Dieter flaunts his rock star fanny for the camera. Such a priceless image!

Carrie, Kathryn, and Christina
YVC folks everywhere! April, Brett, Alan, Aimee, and these three too, were all YVC folks! (Brett's an ex-YVC). Carrie and Kathryn had 4 parties that night, so it was pretty cool of them to stop by. And Christina, like Alan, drove up for the weekend from Vancouver to grace us with all her holy glory! Yeah!

Token non-YVCers
Boy Wonder sits attentively watching over Kerry and other party guests... making sure there was no hanky-panky at the party!

The Boy...
Eventually it got late and Dieter and I took this photo after leaving the party. My wings were still holding strong, and his rock star hair was amazingly well preserved too! (Oh, and notice my new super short hair... crazy!!). 'Twas a good night!

And Later in the Month...

My friend Rod and I had a Thanksgiving potluck. Rod was nice enough to offer his apartment, mere blocks from mine, and we had a good mix of friends from different circles. :)

Me and Jake
Jake came to the potluck and endeared himself to the guests by bringing Orange Cream Soda (yum!) and corn (Dieter's favorite). No Thanksgiving feast would be complete without Jake or soda. :)

Noe and Andrew
Yaargh! It's the blargy monster! Look out, Noe has a flipper! She'll spank you if you make fun of the mash.

Andrew brought the most original dish of the night, in my opinion anyway. His Parsnip and Rutabega Mash was quite tasty, though it admittedly did confuse some folks since it looked very similar to mashed potatoes.

Shy Dieter
Dieter might play shy on camera, but what you can't tell from this photo is that he ate for four straight hours at the potluck! It was a sight to see! Quite an amazing guy!
