Hawaii Trip
November 19-24, 2003

I've always known that my friend Charles is one of the most generous people I've ever met. This year he cemented that title when he brought me with him on a trip to Hawaii. I couldn't very well turn down the chance to visit Hawaii again (I hadn't been since I was 14!), but I didn't know till I got there how much I really needed the vacation. Sadly, the week wasn't all sunshine and paradise. Charles developed quite an awful cold and was pretty sick for the whole trip. It slowed him down, but happily didn't stop him from exploring his old neighborhood where he grew up, building sandcastles, going swimming, etc. :) Sadly, by the end of the week, I managed to get his cold and ended up quite miserable myself. However, I'm a trooper too and managed to still get out to go parasailing, paddle an outrigger, go snorkeling, see ex-boyfriend Eric, go to a luau, etc. It was a short trip, but we kept busy and had a great time. Even got to eat brunch at Dukes and see Amy, and also had the chance to head up to the North Shore for the Van's Triple Crown of Surfing Competition (where we got our car towed by corrupt cops... lame). All in all, it was a great adventure and a wonderful (though all too short) weekend! Thank you, thank you, thank you Charles for dragging me there!
