Hmm... Memorial Day Weekend

Decided to stay off the freeways and enjoy a relaxed weekend at home in Houston. Crazy thought, I know. :) The weekend started Friday night with John Dunn, Charles, Laura, and I watching Mission: Impossbile 2. We hit Woody's afterwards for drinks then Laura returned to my place for a mini slumber party. Saturday Laura and I went hunting for swim suits then headed over to her place where we cohosted a BBQ and pool party. Was fun to play in the pool, relax, and hang with friends. Attending were Matt Sample, John Dunn, Charles McGonigal, Isabel Zapata, Suzan Sultan, Brian Buvinghausen, and Ajit Dhansinghani. We even had a few folks in from Austin like Scott Lochmann, Bryan Wasicek, and Greg Hazel. And we can't forget Josh, who flew in from Savanah and will be crashing on the other Laura's sofa for the remainder of the weekend. After the BBQ, we toweled off and went to Numbers where Todd Rovner joined us for dancing. We thought it was goth night but were set straight up arival at the club - apparently Saturdays are actually raver music. Not bad for Matt, Laura, and Greg who all seemed quite at home in the with the club kids and mixed music. After a late dinner at House of Pies, Bryan crashed on my couch and Greg and I stayed up all night chatting until 9am! I had a great time getting to know him better! Very nice boy, though I couldn't always tell what his eyes were saying. Ah well, perhaps in time. I'm glad he and Bryan came down for the festivities. Tried to nap in the morning, but I guess I wasn't expecting Greg to move around so much. That's okay. Missed sleep was definitly worth it... I had a fun weekend all around. Went to Ruggles Cafe for brunch Sunday (still trendy and good food, but cheaper and more casual... very nice!) then back to the movies to see Road Trip with Scott and Charles. By the evening, I was ready for sleep... all twelve hours I got were fantastic!
