Day 1: Suzan knew Todd was taking her somewhere special for their one year anniversary, but we kept where she was going a secret! Even when she got to the airport in Seattle, she didn't know if it was a layover or if she'd actually be visiting me and Kim! Tisen, Kim, and I all drove to the airport to greet them and bring them back to the city! We started the weekend's touring with a trip down Broadway and dinner at Angel's Thai.

Day 2
We rented a wreck and took a drive through the countryside and the mountains to get to the Skagit Valley. Suzan knew to bring a camera, but the rest was still hush hush. Here, Todd and Suzan smile as ice cream people!

Tulips!
The Skagit Valley has more than just ice cream... it's got hundreds of amazing fields of tulips! Their trip came the week after the Tulip Festival ended, but we made it to the valley during the week of harvest! Luckily, some fields were still in bloom!

Even on vacation...
...Todd was still polite and talked to coworkers when he got calls. He's a good man.

That's okay though... while Todd talked, Suzan and I entertained ourselves by taking silly pictures in the flower fields!

PerfectDay!
Those who actually believe that Seattle is "always rainy" can think again. I know we're supposedly in a draught, but the weather this spring has been warm with gorgeous blue skies! Perfect picture taking weather if you ask me!

Nice!
Let me roam free with a camera and I'll be content for hours! If I had to choose, think I like the yellow flowers the best!

The Happy Couple
These tulip fiedls were practically screaming "take your picture here, put us in your holiday cards!" Suzan and Todd were picture perfect cute as always.

Oh Canada!
We decided we were close enough to Canada we might as well drive the extra hour to go visit.

White Rock
Instead of driving on to Vancouver in horrible rush hour, we decided to stop in lovely White Rock. Nothing says Canada like wood carved mounties in front of souvineer shops!

Self Portrait
Great company, great town, great little Greek restaurant overlook a great view... what more could one want out of life? After wandering some, we headed back to Seattle to introduce Suzan and Todd to Tawni, Rod, and friends at Six Arms. :)
